If you have never used a mobile groomer before, it is normal to have questions about how the whole thing actually works. Here is a walk-through of a typical first appointment with Nikko Pets.
Before the appointment
When you book, we ask a few basics: your pet's species, breed, age, weight, and which service you are interested in, along with your zip code and preferred date. If your pet has any quirks, past grooming trauma, medical conditions, or things that make them anxious, mention it in the notes. It genuinely changes how we approach the visit.
The van arrives
Our fully equipped mobile unit pulls up right to your driveway or curb at the scheduled time. There is no need to load your pet into a car or drive anywhere. Everything the groom requires, water, power, tools, and a comfortable grooming table, is already set up inside.
Check-in
We will do a quick hands-on check of your pet's coat and skin before starting, confirm the service, and answer any questions you have. This is also the moment to flag anything new, a hot spot, a limp, sensitive ears, so we can groom around it safely.
The groom itself
Depending on the service, this typically runs 45 to 90 minutes. Because it is one pet at a time in a calm, familiar setting, most pets settle in faster than they would at a traditional salon. You are welcome to stay nearby, and for pets who do better without an audience, you can step inside while we work.
Pickup? There is none.
This is the part people love most: no drop-off, no pickup, no waiting for a call that your pet is ready. When we are done, we bring your pet right back to your door, freshly groomed.
After the appointment
We will let you know if we noticed anything worth keeping an eye on, and we are always happy to talk through a grooming schedule that fits your pet's coat and lifestyle going forward.
Ready to see it for yourself? Book your first appointment and we will take care of the rest.
